Mission
• To study the Methods of accumulating scientific information and documents produced both inside and outside Iran.• To probe into the methods of organization and classification of scientific information and documents.• To investigate into the methods of retrieval and dissemination of scientific information and documents.• To analyze the activities of special Libraries and other Iranian Documention Centers to identity suitable methods improving their activities.• To examine Iranian methods of exchanging scientific information and documents as compared with those of other countries.• To accumulate, organize, and maintain scientific information.• To hold advanced, special and short-term Training course on research field of IRANDOC.• To develop scientific information thought establishing a scientific information Network or benefiting from other existing networks.• To publish educational and information resources in the realm of IRANDOC activities.• To coordinate the process of accumulating, analyzing, and disseminating scientific information and documents of other Iranian information Centers and special libraries.• To design and establish scientific databases.• To set up & develop scientific communication and collaboration at national, regional, and international level of information network.• To study and plan the implementation of the Islamic Civilization information network system in the 3 rd millennium and to cooperate with similar Information Centers in other Islamic countries.
