According to the research project on the Information services provided ever since the establishment of the Iranian Research Institute for Scientific Information and Documentation (IRANDOC) up to now, as Iranian Documentation Center. The objective underlying the establishment of a library in this Center was supplying an invaluable collection of documents in Science and Social Sciences, Education and Training, Library Science and Information in order to meet most of the needs of the researchers. The Library laid emphasis on Scientific and Technical Journals and by the end of September, 1354. Based on the Library Collection Policy, the IRANDOC Library, at present, provides the following subjects: Information Science and subjects related to the Library Science, Information Systems Management, Information Technology, Information Analysis, Knowledge & Information Management, Linguistics, Computerized Terminology and Technology. The library is based on the Congress Classification System and is run on the basis of the Open-shelf System. The users of the library are comprised of University Professors and students, researchers, and the IRANDOC staff The following sources are available in IRANDOC special library. - The original documents of scientific databases produced in IRANDOC - Books, 8870 voles of Farsi book & 14568 voles of Latin book - Periodicals, 139286 Records - CD-ROM, 1520 Compact Disks - Searching halls equipped with computers
